CampusMUN 2025

Welcome to the digital archive for CampusMUN 2025. This edition brought together students from across the VUB campus to debate critical global issues and develop diplomatic skills.

Conference Highlights

Social Event
CampusMUN team

CampusMUN is organised by students, for students. The 2024–2025 Diplomacy Team, together with the Board, additional LIMUN delegates, and a dedicated group of students, have worked hard to bring this event to life, welcoming around 60 participants.

CampusMUN 2025 featured a series of engaging social events that complemented the academic programme. On 30 April, participants attended a Dutch-language panel debate on the ethical aspects of Belgium’s defence investments, held on the VUB campus and followed by a reception that offered a more informal setting for discussion. Later in the week, on 3 May, delegates gathered for a lively debate titled “Is Development Aid a Force for Good in the World?”. The session encouraged critical reflection on the impact and sustainability of European development aid, bringing participants together in an open and thought-provoking atmosphere beyond the committee rooms.

About the organisation of CampusMUN 2025

Behind CampusMUN, several teams work together to make the conference run smoothly, under the leadership of CampusMUN Director Filip Lismont.

The Committee Directors play a central role in the academic side of the event. They invest significant time in preparing detailed study guides, ensuring that delegates arrive well-informed and ready to debate. During the conference, they chair their committees, guide discussions, and maintain a structured and engaging environment. Their preparation is essential in creating a high-quality and realistic MUN experience.

Alongside them, the Promotions Team is responsible for outreach and visibility. They manage social media, promote the event, and connect with participants, making sure the conference reaches a wide and engaged audience. On the team: Claudia Tiefel (Head of Promotions), Merylin Charlova, Sarkis Mellk and Luka Rütze-Mulot.

Furthermore, the Academics Team ensured that high academic standards were met. On the team: Sam Singh & Kuura Aunola

Finally, the Logistics Team handles the practical side of the conference. From organising spaces to ensuring everything runs on schedule, they make sure that all operational aspects are in place so participants can focus fully on the experience. On the team: Nena Mgbokwere (Head of Logistics), Rayane El Hichou and Miha.
