Welcome to the digital archive for CampusMUN 2026. CampusMUN is a MUN conference organised by students, for students. The 2025-2026 Diplomacy Team, together with the Board, additional LIMUN delegates, and a dedicated group of students, have worked hard to bring this event to life, welcoming 70 participants across four committees.
Conference Highlights
CampusMUN 2026 featured a series of engaging social events that complemented the academic programme. A defining moment was a Q&A with H.E. Mr. Xavier Lapeyre de Cabanes, French Ambassador to Belgium. The session was warmly welcomed by Rector Prof. Jan Danckaert and expertly moderated by Prof. Wim Vandenbussche, creating a rich dialogue between students and one of France’s senior diplomats. The Ambassador’s words left a lasting impression on all in attendance:
If you want peace, and that’s what diplomats strive for, you need to understand the person in front of you. – Mr. Xavier Lapeyre de Cabanes, French Ambassador to Belgium.
Following the formal session, delegates had the rare opportunity to engage with the Ambassador in person during an informal reception, exchanging ideas, asking questions, and gaining candid insights into the world of diplomacy. The weekend concluded on a high note, with a closing ceremony celebrating the delegates’ achievements, followed by a closing party that brought the CampusMUN 2026 community together one last time.
